El semestre pasado, en mi clase de narración, hicimos un ejercicio que me parece la mejor manera de empezar este blog. Retomaos un texto de Terry Tempest Williams, Why I Write. Ésta es la selección de algunas razones por las que escribo:
- I write to make peace with the things I cannot control.
- I write to meet my ghosts.
- I write to imagine things differently and in imagining things differently perhaps the world will change.
- I write in a solitude born out of community.
- I write to remember.
- I write to forget.
- I write to quell pain.
- I write to sooth the voices shouting inside me, outside me, all around.
- I write because I believe it can create a pth in the darkness.
- I write because then I do not have to speak.
- I write out of indigestion.
- I write knowing I will always fail.
- I write knowing words always fall short.
- I write by accident.
Escribo por éstas y por muchas otras razones. Pero al final del día, sólo escribo….
